Priceline cosmetics gift bag goodies review

Hi lovelies and welcome back to my blog!

Who doesn’t love free things? Especially when it comes to makeup? Yes please!
Priceline pharmacy is known for their gift bag specials. Every few months they come up with a special offer, if you spend $60 or more on participating brands you get a free cosmetic bag full of makeup goodies! (Participating brands only).
So on top of your Priceline haul you get to bring home and test out more new & exciting products! Yay.

Most of the products in this month’s gift bag are full size items and I was really impressed with the variety, quality and value of some of the products.
So what’s in the bag?

Do not be fooled by the front image of the products and the description in the back, as you will not get the exact same items! It is approximately what’s in there but sometimes the colour/shade is different or a total different product from the same brand. For example I expected to get Essie nail polish in ‘Ballet Slippers’ (which I was lusting after for a while!) as described in the back and pictured in the front, but instead I got Essie nail polish in ‘Lilacism’ (full size) which is still a gorgeous colour, pastel lilac, yet not as described.

The Loreal product was also completely different as shown in the picture and description: I was expecting Loreal ‘Superliner Smokekissime’ which is a powder eyeliner stick. Instead I got Loreal ‘La Couleur’ eyeshadow pot in ‘002 Hourglass Beige’ (full size) which is a STUNNING shimmery light beige creamy eyeshadow with a golden champagne glow.

I’m actually really happy with this one as it can be used as a highlighter as well as an eyeshadow. Score!
The Revlon ‘Matte balm’ (full size) lipstick  that I got is also a different shade than shown on the packaging. I got ‘250 Standout remarquable’ which is a lovely cool toned bright wine red (with the slightest pink tinge). The lipstick simply glides on, very creamy and has a matte-satin finish. It’s a winner for me! Ps. Make sure to wear a lip liner with this one as it tends to bleed a bit. It lasts on for hours though!

I got ‘Models Prefer’ ‘Nude cream eyeshadow’ stick in ‘glisten’ (full size) which is a lovely metallic bronze colour. I wanted a creamy eyeshadow stick in bronze for a while and I’m so glad I finally got one! (and for free!) I think it’s very flattering especially in summer if you’re going for that glowing sun kissed look.
The eyeshadow stick is super creamy and easy to work with. The tip is not too thick or thin, it is just right!

I got ‘Nude by nature’ ‘Undercover airbrush mineral primer’ (full size) which I actually wanted to purchase anyway so that’s a great score for me. I’m a big fan of ‘Nude by nature’ products. I find their products are very good quality, and not so harmful to the skin as some cosmetics can be. I like this primer, it’s white & creamy and feels very light on the skin without having that sticky feeling. How to apply & why do we need this? You simply apply and rub small dots of product around the face before applying makeup, mostly on the T zone which is along the forehead, nose, cheeks and chin. Using a primer is essential, it prepares your face for makeup application (just like an artist and his blank canvas!). It helps smoothen pores & imperfections as well as makes your makeup last longer and look better throughout the day.

I got Maybelline New York ‘Master graphic liquid liner’ in ‘bold black’ (full size).

It is shaped and looks like a marker and the tip is angled in a way to create the perfect winged liner. It’s true black in colour, feels liquidy once applied (unlike the gel formula I’m used to), it’s really easy to use and takes a few seconds to set and dry. After it dries it is smudge proof! But it is not water proof and comes off easily in contact with water as well as makeup removal wipes (which is good by me).

Next I got Australis ‘Metallix eyeshadow’ in ‘Guns and rose petals’. It’s a super creamy eyeshadow with a sticky thick gel-like formula. It is highly pigmented and super shiny! This is a beautiful colour: a metallic rose gold.

It is a full sized eyeshadow and a great addition to my collection as I do not own anything like this! Love.

I got Physicians Formula ‘Concealer Twins’ which is a full size double sided consealer. It features a yellow concealer to correct blue marks such under eye circles and a light (nude with pinkish tones) concealer to hide imperfections and use on top of the yellow to even out the look.
I think this is brilliant! I love the concept of having 2 in 1, it is so convenient. Both colours feel light and creamy on the skin and blend out well.

Here are a few more goodies I got in the bag:
Essie ‘Good to go’ top coat (sample size)

Versace Crystal Noir Eau De Toilette 5ml (sample size and oh so cute!)

Manicure Nailpolish removal wipes (full size)

Loreal Paris ‘Base magique’ (sample size)

Savvy ‘Clear brow gel’ (full size)

Eco Tools ‘Ecopouf mini sponge’

As well as this cute large cosmetics bag

My total look

My total look using: Nude by nature mineral primer, Physician’s Formula ‘Concealer twins’ under eyes, Loreal Paris ‘Base magique’ used as eyeshadow primer, ‘Models prefer’ Nude cream eyeshadow in ‘glisten’ & Australis ‘Guns & rose petals’ on the lids, Loreal Paris ‘La Couleur’ in ‘002 Hourglass beige’ in the corner of the eyes and under the brows as a highlighter, Maybelline New York ‘Master graphic liquid liner’ on the wing, Savvy ‘clear brow gel’ & Revlon matte balm in ‘250 Standout remarquable’ on the lips.

Overall I am extremely happy with my gift bag even though some of the products were not as described. I think I got pretty amazing things instead, as well as the tiny Versace perfume as an extra! (It was not listed in the back). Well done Priceline and participating brands! You have outdone yourselves!
Until next time lovelies

  1. I love the way you go into detail explaining what the makeup product is and how you apply it !! It's also amazing to see that you can by non expensive makeup and it works just the same as the big brands. Love the pictures !! 👄💅🏻
