My holiday highlights part 1: Outfits, makeup, sites & food
Hi lovelies and welcome back to my blog! It’s been a while since I last posted here as I’ve been away on holidays for almost 2 months! It’s time to get back into business 😉
I’d love to share some of my ootds, makeup looks, yummy foods, good times & experiences with you!
I went to visit my family & friends in Israel and it’s been quite a trip! Loaded with fun memories in the middle eastern heat, I must say I used every minute to the fullest and spent time with the people I love most. ❤
Some of the pics I’m sharing here are on my ig account as well so make sure to check it out @theglamsparkle for more details 😉
One of my fav makeup looks
Lipstick: Colourpop ‘Kae’ matte liquid lip (Kaepop collection): a matte dark brown with red undertones
My biggest shopping crush in israel was ‘Charles and Keith’: a designer women’s footwear & accesories brand originated in Singapore, where everything is made of high quality PU leather (and it’s affordable too!). I loved the designs & quality of their shoes & bags and after purchasing a few pieces, and wearing them often, I must admit they feel & look like real leather and keep amazingly well! I highly recommend.
This is a bronzy earth-tones makeup look I created using Colourpop products: brow pencil in ‘Black ‘N Brown’, Kaepop shock shadows in ‘Crenshaw’ and ‘Sunset Blvd’, ‘Wisp’ highlighter & ‘Frick N Frack’ ultra satin lip on my lips.
Love this glowing tanned look for summer with a hint of brick red on the lips.
I picked up a few pieces of silver jewellery which I love! The unique bursting star design above is inspired by H.Stern jewelry. I love the idea of wearing 2 statement rings on the same hand whether it’s the same design or not + black colored jewelry is huge at the moment. I also loved my summer bright coloured nails!
One of my fav places in Israel is ‘Sarona’ in Tel Aviv. It is a historic renovated site turned shopping district in the heart of Tel Aviv, where old meets new. With lots of cafes, bars, fashion shops, parks & even a beautiful brand new indoor market, where you can shop & dine some of the finest foods.
I was wearing a gorgeous bottoned through blue maxi dress I got from boohoo and paired it with my latest purchase from Charles & Keith: my grey cross body bag. Not sure why but I’m obsessed with this mouse-grey colour lately. Thinking about painting my nails that colour too 😉
Later that day I returned there at night to celebrate TLV white night. There were live bands & DJ performing on site and the shops and market were open all night for visitors to enjoy! Was great fun 😉
Dress: Twentyfourseven (local store from last year), bag & shoes: Charles & Keith
Sweets & treats
More food porn 😉 this time from Machane Yehudah market in Jerusalem. This is handmade halva in all different flavoures. Yum!
I’m a huge chocolate addict (can you tell??) and my fav desserts have to be chocolate drenched waffles & crepes. 😋😋
Port of Tel Aviv
One of my fav hangout spots is the port of Tel Aviv which is the hottest spot in summer! There are lots of restaurants, cafes, shops and dance bars in the area as well as special attractions for the school summer holidays happening now in Israel. There was a colorful water show as well as a pop up Magnum ice cream bar where you can create your own custom made Magnum ice cream! Yummy
My casual going out look
I love going out pairing a cute & interesting printed skirt with a classic denim jacket. I added lace up ballet flats for extra style and comfort and I’m good to go! Also loved my makeup that night, I don’t have a closeup pic but it was super bronzy & glowy with a gold highlighter on my cheekbones & a heavy black wing liner on the eyes. For lips I used my fav lip gloss of all times Kylie Cosmetics gloss in ‘Like’.
