Hi lovelies and welcome back to my blog! In today’s post I will continue sharing with you all the highlights from my recent trip to Israel. I mainly focus on my outfits & makeup looks but I’d also like to share some of the yummy foods & exciting places I’ve been to. If you haven’t read my previous post about my holiday then head back and check it out 😉 hope you enjoy this as much as I did!
Beauty city
This was a huge beauty event held yearly by one of the biggest beauty stockists & pharmacies in Israel. When I heard there’s a beauty event I literally ran! And I wasn’t disappointed. The brands were mostly drugstore brands and it was nice to walk around the custom made booths, check out new products, take cute pictures, and consult with world renown make up artists flown in especially for the event.
In the middle of it all a long black runway where the crowd witnessed makeup presentations every few minutes as well as emerging Israeli designers fashion shows.
I loved watching the makeup presentations & tutorials by international makeup artists representing ‘Pupa’, ‘Bourjois’ and ‘Revlon’. There was a sit down cafe installed surrounding a giant towering lipstick & a DJ playing cool music all day long. Overall it was a cute and fun event but of course I’d much prefer it with more professional makeup brands next time, rather than only drugstore brands 😉
Some of the brands included: Clinique, Bourjois, Estée Lauder, Loreal, Revlon, Pupa, Gade, Sinful Colors, Rimmel, Scholl, Essence, Sally Hansen + more.
Is that a giant lipstick in the room?? Yes it is! 😍
Those giant nail polishes though
Bits & pieces from my haul
I bought a few things, mostly for my mom to use as she was missing some of the basics. I was quite surprised with the quality of some of the products but my fav has to be Clinique ‘lid pop’ eyeshadow in ’02 Cream pop’: a shimmering gold (which I use as a highlighter as well as a shadow). My next fav is Maybelline ‘Dream Sun’ bronzing powder in ’03’. It’s slightly on the orange side but it works great for my skin tone and it gives me that perfect matte tanned look.
Third fav are the Multiplay eye pencils by Pupa. I got ’12’ which is a silver-light blue and I love using it on the waterline for a pop of colour + it opens up my eyes & makes them look bigger.
Jaffa port
One of my fav places to go to on a Friday afternoon is Jaffa port. I love starting my walk from the ancient part of the port, along the sea line towards old Jaffa. At the port itself there a few shops, galleries & restaurants as well as a small market & live performances on Fridays.
As I get into old Jaffa I love visiting the flea market and the little alleyways stacked with restaurants & bars. There’s also a covered indoor market in the area where you can find clothes, jewellery, furniture & accessories. It is a very happening area in the summertime on Fridays, and if you can stand the heat it is worth checking it out. I absolutely love it!
Dead Sea
My next stop was the Dead Sea. The lowest place on earth and one of the seven wonders of the world! The sea is absolutely beautiful in colour and surrounded by pure desert. My highlights were the stunning views and the day I spent by the pool at the hotel 😉
A beautiful sunset view from my hotel room
Kimono: Cotton On (a few years old), skirt: H&M, jelly flats: Holster, sunglasses: Asos
Out & about (and lots of food)
One of my fav things in Israel is the food! I can’t get enough of the yummy multi cultural cousine and especially the desserts 😉
Dress: Forever21, jacket: Asos, bag: Adika, shoes: Charles & Keith
This is it for my holiday highlights! Thanks for visiting and I hope you enjoyed flicking through my images & adventures 🙂 Until next time lovelies!
