Kyshadow Bronze palette: review, swatches & is it worth it?

Hi lovelies & welcome to another beauty post. Today I’ll be reviewing the Kylie Cosmetics Kyshadow Broze eyeshadow palette.

Kylie cosmetics by Kylie Jenner continue releasing new & exciting beauty products. Although predicted to immediately sell out due to Kylie’s super famous mega status, some might question the quality & value of the products.

Her IG PR works wonders for her business as well as the curiosity of beauty junkies & collectors worldwide, and not to mention her millions of followers & fans around the globe. So is it worth it?

The palette retails for $42US and can be found on Kylie’s website This does not include shipping however, there is a shipping promotion at the moment where free domestic US shipping is offered and free international shipping on orders $60US and over.

The palette is a good size, not too small or too big. For example it is much bigger than MAC’s times 9 palettes ($67AUD) and the eyeshadow pan sizes are nice & big as well.

A comparison between Kyshadow & MAC burgundy times 9 palette

Kylie’s packaging is always on point. You can tell a lot of thought process went into each & every product. Although it appears to be mostly a simple & clean design (which I personally love), there is always a surprise element. Wether it’s metallic limited edition packaging or a hand written hologram postcard, it’s all been thought of carefully in terms of marketing & design. I think packaging is one of the main reasons why we beauty junkies buy makeup. Of course that quality plays a major roll as well but we’ll get to it later. The palette comes packed in a small box and a postcard, all feature Kylie’s eyes.

While her lip kits depict her luscious lips it would only be fair to use her pretty eyes on the cover of her eyeshadow palettes. On the front of the palette, a real life drawing of Kylie’s eyes (or perhaps a digital design? not sure). The tears coming out of the eyes are foiled metallics in copper, bronze & plain black. It is a beautiful clean design and pleasantly appealing to the eye. The postcard has the same eye design in the front although it’s a hologram and one eye winks as you move it back & forth. The back has a special written message from Kylie.

Although I have no use for it, I love the idea of the postcard. It makes it more personalized and it’s a great collector’s item for Kylie’s fans. The idea of the wink is really cute & original in my opinion. It simply makes the product so much more appealing with a cute & quirky design element that is Kylie’s own.

The product

Finally it’s all down to the eyeshadows! Which is kinda why we buy this in the first place (or do we?). As I said before the pan sizes are nice & large. The colours are great basic colours and pretty much essential for everyone to have. From delicate neutral looks to a heavy smoky eye, this palette can create it all.

It has 7 mattes & 2 shimmers. There’s a mixture of warm & cool tones and the sky is the limit with the options of looks one can create with this palette. The eyeshadows are highly pigmented and apply extremely nicely with minimum to no fallout using a brush. Although when I swatched them with my fingers on my arm, I did experience some fallout. They lasted on me a full day in humid and hot weather! This pretty much passed the test for me right there! But I must admit that I loved it before, as soon as I tried it. The shadows feel so soft and blend extremely well.  This palette definitely competes with high end makeup brands and even better than some of the brands I personally tested. I absolutely LOVE this palette!

The holiday palette

I almost purchased the burgundy palette but then I passed as I don’t use much of these colours on myself. It is a beautiful palette though so perhaps in the near future ;). The holiday collection palette has just been released and I can’t wait to get my hands on it! It looks so beautiful and the colours are gorgeous. It has a mirror as well! nice one Kylie!

Hope you enjoyed my post lovelies. Would you get this palette? Is it on your wish list?
