Lorac ‘Beauty and the Beast’ lipstick set review

Hi lovelies and welcome back to a new and exciting beauty post! Today I’ll be reviewing Lorac cosmetics ‘Beauty and the Beast’ lipstick set from their latest Disney collab.

Whoever knows me knows I’m Disney obsessed! So when their latest big hit movie ‘Beauty and the Beast’ came out, I was the first one to go (actually run) to see it. It brought me back straight to my childhood and I absolutely LOVED the new ‘real life’ version of the movie! When I heard Lorac cosmetics is coming out with a BATB makeup collab, you can imagine what my response was. I did everything possible in my way to get it (Lorac do not ship to Australia) and I finally did. Yay!

The lipsticks were the first item from the collection to be sold out, and now when I finally own them I can understand why. The packaging is absolutely beautiful! Right in the spirit of the movie. The set is packed in a matte golden box with the BATB logo embossed on the front and the names of lipsticks described on the back. The lipstick packaging is clear luxurious plastic with gold foil roses and ‘Beauty and the Beast’ logo imprinted on the golden shiny tube along with the Lorac logo on the other side.

The lipsticks are full size and the colours are absolutely gorgeous! I must say these are the perfect 5 shades that are a must have in any makeup kit. From nude to pink, coral and red, it’s all there and it’s all you really need.

The pigmentation on these is insane. They feel super creamy and give full coverage in one swipe. These are truly some of the best lipsticks I’ve ever swatched and you can see it for yourselves in the swatches down the bottom of the page.

The lipsticks are not quite matte or shiny – they have a creme finish. They feel very comfy on the lips, hydrating and last on for ages. I highly recommend these if you can get your hands on them and the price is amazing too! $36US for 5 lipsticks is a very good price considering one MAC lipstick costs $36AUD.

All lipsticks are described as ‘moderate coverage’ but actually apply opaque on the lips:

Red Rose – is a bright cool red with pink tones and a creme finish.

True Beauty – is a warm soft pinky nude with a slight golden sheen and a creme finish.

Belle-ieve – is a warm rosy pink in a creme finish.

Savoir Faire – is a warm peachy nude in a creme finish.

Tres Chic – is a warm true brown in a creme finish.

Which one is your fav?

Currently sold out on Lorac website.

If you’re able to find these in Australia please share with us! Otherwise you can try eBay but make sure it’s the real deal and beware of fakes! (Be prepared to pay more)

That’s it lovelies! I hope you enjoyed my review!

Until next time,
