Beauty salon treatment at your own home: The Beautools Premium Anti-age face massager review

Hi lovelies! Today I’m reviewing a luxurious beauty product coming straight from Japan: The Beautools Facepump Premium Anti wrinkle Face massager.

I was approached by The Beautools to review this face massager which targets anti-aging/wrinkles, tones and firms skin texture using low-level electrical impulses and red light therapy.

About the technologies

‘The facepump delivers safe, low-level electrical impulses to strategic locations under the skin to firm and tone facial muscles on both an immediate and long term basis. The technology simultaneously repairs collagen in the deepest layer of skin while gently erasing signs of aging in the top layer of skin. Red light has the unique ability to penetrate deeply into the skin, where it can stimulate collagen production, rejuvenate the skin, encourage cellular repair and boost circulation to the face so that the complexion appears more youthful and vibrant. Red light photo facials are used for reducing scarring, wrinkles, deep lines, and evening out skin tone.’*

The concept of The Beautools is to deliver beauty salon treatments at your own home’s convenience and as a result skip the trip to the salon (which saves us time and money!).

The device

The massager arrived quickly in the mail in a small black box with gold accents. It is shiny black with gold freckles and a sleek design (it comes in a white option too). It comes with a removable golden cap, USB charging cable and instructions manual. My instructions arrived in Japanese however, I approached the company and they were kind enough to email me English instructions straight away. The instructions provide illustrations on how the massager should be applied to the skin, and using the device is simple, easy and not complicated at all.

I first charged the massager which took nearly no time, removed the cap and pressed the (only) button until I heard a ‘beep’ sound and red light appeared at the top. The massager is programmed to work 3 minutes at a time and turns off after that, so better start massaging straight away! Before I began, I made sure my face was clean of makeup, cleansed well and moisturized. I like to apply a nourishing oil serum to massage it with and I found it worked best with that (I like to use Esmi Skin Minerals 24k gold nourishing oil). I found the massager glided on smoothly with the oil and it felt nice, relaxing and comfortable to use. A hydrating facial oil, gel, serum or moisturizer of some sort must be used in order to massage otherwise the device won’t run smoothly on the skin. The device also helps to absorb skincare products faster, more efficiently into the skin. Once massaging, there is no vibrations, rolling or such, only red light and the smoothness of metal against the skin. I massaged my cheeks, cheekbones, expression lines, smile-lines, forehead, chin, jawline and neck. I used 3 minutes for each side of my face, 6 minutes In total. I like to ‘lift’ my skin upwards with the device in movements that come from the inside parts of my face to the outer parts or from the bottom parts upwards. As the device is running across my face, it feels nice, invigorating and refreshing. It helps with brightening the complexion and bring back elasticity to the skin. I like to use it at night before bed but I also tried it before applying my makeup in the morning and I noticed my skin was unusually soft and smooth that day. After a night time use, my skin appears more plump in the morning. My skin does feel tighter and smoother after massaging while my lines have slightly softened. I’m excited to see more results as I keep using this (I’ve only been using this for a couple of weeks, about 3 times a week). I would also like to note that I used the device several times already and I did not need to recharge it yet so it has a fairly long battery life.

Overall I’m happy with this device and even though it is quite pricy, it’s important to look after your skin starting from a young age to prevent premature aging, wrinkles etc. I will definitely keep on using this as a part of my skincare routine and I will keep you updated with future results.
